Accommodation & Food in Mustang:
Accommodation in Mustang is a basic lodge run by local families for most of the nights. There are a couple of decent hotels with attached bathrooms in Lo Manthang and Jomsom. Western commode toilets and 24 hrs hot showers are available throughout the trip even in the lodge with a common bathroom.
Best Travel Season to Mustang::
The best time to travel the Upper Mustang region is from March to November. The temperature of days, approximately 15 to 21 °C. Although we can be taken this trip in the winter season, the temperature is strongly cold and might not be suitable for all travelers.
Permits and Fees :
The Upper Mustang is a restricted region of Nepal where foreigner travelers should obtain a special entry permit to visit here. The department of immigration issues permits to foreigner tourists. Single permits are not allowed, issued only to a group that means you have at least two visitors in a group.
We need your four passport size photograph and original with a valid passport to obtain the restricted region permits. Upper Mustang permit costs the US $500 per tourist for 10 days. It is one and only one for 10 days, not night. An additional day will be charged the US $50 per day.
Upper and Lower Mustang located at Annapurna Himalaya range at north of Pokhara. All traveler must issue the Conservation permit after paying the Rs 2000/- from Dept of Tourism office at Kathmandu and Pokhara.
