DESCRIPTION:
The world's tallest Everest is a center of attraction for the world. Everest is famous for trekking in the region as well as being the world's destination for climbing. Located in the northern part of Nepal, this region is home to some of the world's most magnificent snowfalls, icebergs, high mountains, deep ravines and the art and culture of the locals. Spiritual experience can be had in this place which has Sherpa village, art culture, Buddhist lamas and monks. Everest base Camp can be reached by air from Kathmandu to Lukla, and for those who love trekking, it can be reached from the mountains of Solu via Jiri.

TENTATIVE PLAN:
The Everest Base Camp trek which takes normally 16 days packages into the heart of the mountains and the culture of the Everest region to the foot of the great peak itself. Commencing trek from Lukla airport up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazar. Spent one more night here for acclimatization and before heading on up through Tenboche (Visiting the great monastery) Pheriche, Lobuche village and finally to your highest camp at Gorak Shep. This is the jumping off point for the climb up to Kala Pattar (5545m) for spectacular views of Mt. Everest, and the walk toward the Everest Base Camp. This really is breathtaking mountain scenery and is well worth the effort of getting there. It is a relatively short trek which will have you standing literally at the foot of the world's greatest peak

OUTLINE ITINERARY:
Day 01 - Arrive Kathmandu
Day 02 - Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu

TREKKING:
Day 3: Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding. 2610m / 3Hrs: Fly to Lukla, the trail descends, gradually passing above the large village of Chaunrikaka (2680m) and on through small villages, fields and forests following a wide well constructed path. After Kusum Drargka, a large stream, the trail crosses the Dudh Kosi river at Phakding. The total walking time between Lukla and Phakding is 3 hours. (Our entire trip to Everest area in Sagarmatha National Park has been planned is such a way so as to minimize the risk of ‘High altitude sickness’. Please do not rush and if you feel uneasy about the altitude do not hesitate to tell your trek guide. In the first two days you are likely to feel a little uneasy due to the altitude). Overnight at Phakding.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazar. 3440m / 5Hrs: From Phakding the trail follows the western bank of Dudh Kosi passing through forests of Blue Pine until it reaches the village of Benkar(2700m). From here the trail crosses to the eastern bank of the Dudh Kosi, and climbs gently to the village of Chumoa. Between here and the next village of Monjo (2800m) the trail drops steeply to cross Monjo Khola. From Monjo the trail crosses a small rock saddle and then descends abruptly to re-cross the Dudh Kosi at Jorsale (2804m). Beyond Jorsale the trail undulates up until the confluence with Bhote Kosi is reached. From here the Khumbu region begins. Above the bridge the trail zigzags up 300m of the steep spur between the two rivers through sparse forest. From the top of the spur, Mt. Everest can be seen rising above Nuptse-Lhotse wall. The next section of the trail climbs less steeply, traversing above the Bhote Kosi until Namche Bazaar is reached. Namcha Bazaar is a market town, where every Saturday morning traders from lower altitude sell goods to sherpas. Most of the trading is over by mid-day and the traders return to their villages. The total walking time is 6 to 7 hours. Overnight at Hotel

Day 5: Namche Bazar Rest Day for Acclimitazation: Acclimatization is important so today we will spend the day free. We can explore Namche Bazaar. We can also visit the Mendelphu hill from where we can have an excellent view of Sagarmatha. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche. 3540m. 5Hrs: From Namche we will start ascending to cross a ridge and climb a flank to reach Phunki. We continue climbing to reach Mon La, from where we descend to reach Dudh Kosi river. We spend overnight on the left side of the river. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 07 - Thangboche to Periche(13,780 feet): After an early breakfast, we tour the largest and most important monastery in the region, Thangboche. Following the Imja Khola we go through Pangboche and over a short hill to the small village of Periche. O/N
Day 08 - Pheriche - Lobuche: we spend an an aclimatization day by climbing a spectacular point of rock above Dingboche. For most people, this will be the highest they have been up to this point. There are up close views of Taweche and Ama Dablam. In the distance one can see Island Peak and Makalu, one of the fourteen 8,000 meter peaks on earth of which Everest and Lhotse are members. O/N
Day 09 - Trek to Gorak Shep [5184m] Short Hike towards the Gorakshep and take a rest whole day.

Day 10 - Trek to Everest BC [5357], back to Lobuche: Lobuje to Everest Base Camp (17,192 feet) We will get an early start for our trek to Base camp. after about two hours we reach Gorak Shep. Another hour or hiking will take us to base camp. From here the view is one of the most spectacular anywhere in the World. You will be surrounded by the highest mountains in the World. Mt. Pumori with its steep ice walls and hanging glaciers seem so close that you could touch them. O/N
Day 11 - Trek to Pengboche: Gorakshep to Pangboche. Early morning hike to Kalapattar and descend down towards to Pangboche. O/N
Day 12 - Trek to Khumjung: After viewing the gompa we will hike through Phortse to Lhumjung. O/N
Day 13 - Trek to Manjoo: Trek descend from Khumjung to Manjoo. O/N
Day 14 - Trek to Lukla: Last Day of the trek in a bustling town and a celebration dinner. O/N

END ITINERARY:
Day 15 - Fly to Kathmandu: Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. O/N
Day 16 - Depart Kathmandu. Service End
