Chitlang is an ancient Newar settlement village located in Thaha Municipality of Makwanpur District, Bagmati Pradesh. According to the inscription, Amshubarma had given the land to shepherds and established a settlement for shepherds in Toukhel, Nhulgaun and Kunchhal of Chitlang.

Chitlang hosts multiple cultures with Newar, Tamang and Brahamans. CHANDRAGIRI HILL TO CHITLANG VILLAGE HIKING:
Breakfast at hotel, Short drive to Thankot Chandragiri bottom station where we take a Cable car journey approx 2.4 km / 10 minutes to reach top of Chandragiri hill station. Visit Bhaleshwor Mahadev Lord Shiva Temple which is stand on top of hills approx elevation 2550 meter high. From here, you can seen the famous himalayan range including Annapurna, Langtang and Everest.

Actual, our day hiking begins from here. Get half an hour down hill hike, we reach the Bhanjyang where we take short break for our tea or coffee. Continue hike down hills through dense forest untill we reach the village. There are two option choice route from here either gravel motorable road or steep narrow down hill track which is normally used by local farmers (I would say recommned the follow motorable road).

CHITLANG VILLAGE TO MARKHU & KULEKHANI DAM HIKING:
After Breakfast, Further 1 and half hour more continue hike towards the Markhu Village and Khulekhani Dam which is famous lake for hydro poject in Nepal. Enjoy the couple of hours time bating on Kulekhani lake and after lunch, drive process to back to Kathmandu.

Chitwan National Park was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1984. Spread over 932 sq.km. The park is one of the best known national parks in Nepal after the Everest National Park famous for the mighty Everest. The park is home to a diversity of eco systems including the Churia hills and the stretched flood plains of the Rapti, Reu and Narayani Rivers. The Churia hills rise slowly towards the east from 150 meters to more than 800 meters in altitude and the someshwor hill comprises the western portion of the park. The park shares its eastern boundary with Parsa Wildlife Reserve, another protected area of the country. The park is home to more than 50 mammal species, over 525 birds and 55 amphibians and reptiles. Though there are many entry points to enter the Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park is a great place to experience wildlife in Nepal. The park is famous for its sightings of Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopards, One-horned Rhinos, Elephants and other animals. You can go to this park for jungle safari, Elephant safaris and jeep safaris can be observed in the middle of the forest. Crocodiles can be seen in the river flowing through the middle of the forest. You can also visit the Elephant and Crocodile Production Center.
You can stay in Sauraha to visit this park. Where there are plenty of resorts. In this area, you can observe not only the wildlife, but also the local Tharu traditions, culture, food and costumes.

Safari Activities: Visitors can enjoy jungle safari aboard open jeeps as well. The jeeps enter the national park via Kasara. The visitors that do not want to ride the mighty tuskers can enjoy safari of Chitwan National Park aboard open jeeps. Through open jeeps, visitors can catch glimpses of rare wild species in their natural habitat. Jeep Safari, however, is not possible during rainy season, because of muddy roads. Another way to enjoy jungle safari is jungle walk. Trained guides lead a group of visitors across the Rapti River to the national park, jungle walk provides visitors with a different experience as visitors get opportunity to tread in dense forest. Canoing is another way to enjoy safari at Chitwan National Park. A canoeing trip offers visitors with an opportunity to watch different bird species on the banks of the Rapti River. Likewise, they can also enjoy mugger and Gharial crocodiles basking laxily on the banks of the Rapti and Budhi Rapti Rivers.

A visit to the Elephant Breeding center across the budhi rapti river can be an experinece of life time for visitors to Sauraha. Visitors not always get opportunity to enjoy the activities of newly born baby elephant. Bird watching is another popular activity at Chitwan National Park. The national park is home to more than 500 species of birds. Paradise flycatchers, Indian pitta and parakeers, water fowl, Brahminy ducks, pintails, cormorants, woodpeckers, horn bills, peafowls, floricans, storks are some of the avian species found in Chitwan Natinal Park. HOW TO GO - Chitwan National Park
The Park is located at south of Kathmandu, approx. 146 km away from Kathmandu and 131 km from Pokhara. There are regular flight between Kathmandu to Bharatpur airport. It takes about 20 minutes journey. Everyday, regular tourist coach available both from Kathamandu & Pokhara for Chitwan. (Check Tourist Bus Schedule). Also rental vehicle can be obtain on resonable price if need comfortable & smooth journey. Local Bus or Micro run frequently service from central bus park, Gangabu Kathmandu. OR if incase clients wish to travel via Rafting or By Flight to Chitwan National Park. Both option are also available as per your trip plan.

WHAT INCLUDES IN PACKAGE

Safari tour is conduct by expeience naturalist license holder guides who will explain everything to you. It is necessary to follow their instructions. You have to understand that you are in an actual jungle where wild animals roam free. Therefore, proper precautions need to be taken.


What You Need to Bring:
Although the Terai can be cool during the winter, It can be stiflingly hot during the summer months. If you are headed there in winter, bring along a sweater or jacket. Summer months require cool clothes, good walking shoes, shady hat and sunscreen, Make sure your clothes are in colors-like brown and green-that help you blend into the back ground, Carry along some mosquito repellant, anti-diarrhea tablets and anti-histamines. Meanwhile, along with photo equipment, a pair of binoculars will prove invaluable. If you are closer to the monsoon months, carry some water proof jackets and an extra pair of shoes. Just in case.

NOTE - For your kind information, The safari parks are located in the southern tropical plains known as the Terai . October through March is pleasant. In the summer, the maximum temperature is between 40-45 degrees Celsius. The rainy season lasts from July to September. In this regards, We request you all our visitor plz must have carry your necessary requirements as per seasons during the Chitwan Safari Tour such as light cotton pant & tops, (Recommend Green color), Light Walking Shoes, Sun Hat, Sun Glass, Sun Cream or Lotion, Half Pant, Torch Light, Slipper, Umbrella, Punchu Raincoat, Masquito Liquid, etc etc.

Important Things:
The Terai jungles are also famous for leeches that appear in the monsoon and are around for a few months after, Salt or a lighted cigarette will make them fall off, do not pull them off as the wound may get infected. Try an insect repellant to keep them away.
