Agra, to the Hindu epics in Chitrakot, from tiger
spotting in Panna National Park to undiscovered
Chanderi, and the chance to join pilgrims as they
undertake their rituals on the banks of the great

The bazzar of Old Delhi are a
perfect introduction to the sound and smells of
India. as is a visit to the Jama Masjid, Delhi's
largest mosque. |

Day 03: |
Agra, Agra is
the home of the impressive Red Fort and emotive Taj
Mahal, resplendant in white marble. |

Day 04/05: |
Chanderi,
just by arriving we are instant celebrities, as few
tourist visit this fascinating town. Ancient rock
paintings, Jain temples and peaceful mosques are
ours to explore. Meet our local friend's
larege family at his home for a traditional dinner. |

Day 06/07: |
Orchha,
this small village on the banks of the Betwa River
reveals a very different quieter India. Enjoy a
guided tour around some of the many temples and
palaces dotting the countryside and wrap up the
afternoon wtih a cool swim |

Day 08/09: |
Khajuraho,
Khajuraho exquistie 1000 yrs old temples celebrate
Hindu legends and epic battles in intricate and
somtimes erotic carvings. Spend the night on the
banks of the Ken River, which has long sustained the
varied wildlife in Panna National Park |

Day 10: |
Chitrakoot,
Sprawling along the banks of the Mandakini River.
Chitrakoot's ashrams, temples and bathing ghats are
full of takes from India's epic Ramayana legend. |

Day 11: |
Allahabad, Not only the
host to the holy Kumbh Mela fair, Allahabad is also
the birthplace of India's first prime minister and
India's number one Bollywood film star-amitabh

Day 12/14: |
Vanarasi,
Once the ancient city of Kashi, Varanasi remains
India's spritual heart. A dawn boat trip on the
Ganges takes us past devotees partatking in ritual
worship of Mother Ganga. Wind through the old city's
narrow lanes and take part in our won sunset flower
ceremony, serenaded by traditional musicians |

Delhi,
Our unforgettable journey comes to an end as our
train pulls back into Delhi |
