Simikot & Kailash Trekking

Description:
This trek begins from Simikot and weaves across some of the least frequented trekking trails in western Nepal. Our treks begins through pine scented forests and traditional Thakuri & Tibetan Buddhist villages, with the beautiful Saipal and Nalakankad mountain range in the background. We trek past misty mountain views, with lush green vegetation, with wildflowers, Himalayan herbs and flowering buckwheat, mustard dotting the landscape. This trail is ideal for travelers who dislike crowds, enjoy solitary walks and want more interactions with local inhabitants.

Once you steep into Tibet, you drive across the wide open spaces of the Tibetan Plateau to Mansarovar (A Secret Pond), before completing a kora (loop trek) around Mt Kailash. Continue Journey Tibetan plains before heading south to the Nepalese border and returning to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu
Day 02: China Visa and Restricted Permit Issue
Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj

OUTLINE ITINERARY - SIMIKOT - HILSA: Semi Teahouse Trek:
Day 04: Fly to Simikot and walk to Dharapuri
Day 05: Trek to Kermi - Lunch in Dadakermi in afternoon visit to hot spring with local guide.
Day 06: Trek to Yalbang - Pack Lunch from Kermi and dinner in Yalbang. in afternoon visit Namkha khyung Dzong Monastery
Day 07: Trek to Tumkot - Lunch and Dinner at Tumkot Camp - Visit to Dhungkar Choezom Monastery
Day 08: To Yari / Tharodunga - Lunch at Pani Palbang and Dinner at Thadodunga
Day 09: Trek to Hilsa via Nara La Pass - Trek break at Sipsip and late lunch at Hilsa and Dinner at Hilsa

Day 10: Trek to Taklakot and Drive to Mansarovar Lake
Day 11: Excursion Mansarovar Lake and Deep for Purification and drive to Darchen
Day 12: Trek to Diraphuk
Day 13: Trek to Zhuthulphuk
Day 14: Trek to Darchen and Drive to SAGA
Day 15: Drive to KERUNG
Day 16: Drive to DHUNCHE & KATHMANDU

OUTLINE ITINERARY: KATHMANDU & DEPARTURE
Day 17: Rest and Free to at Kathmandu on your own.
Day 18: Departure transfer to airport for the flight to onward destination. Service End
