Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour |

This excursion of central
Tibet from the south starts with a flight towards Lhasa leading
to the east of Tsedang to explore the valley of Yarlung Tsangpo,
the cradle of the civilization of Tibetan. We lead then to Lhasa
visiting the majestic palace of Potala and other places of
interest before continuing to the route towards southern after
the lake Yamdruk in Gyantse, Shigatse and Tingri. From Tingri,
turn of route to the south by internal diary of pangla which
pass towards the base camp to Rnmbuk and then above to the town
of Zhangmu and ahead in Kathmandu. |

Camp Tour Itinerary: |
|
DAY 01: KATHMANDU -
LHASA 3650M
Fly on Air China flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar
Airport, Tibetan guide shall meet you and transfer provide
to Lhasa city. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02/03: LHASA SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Visit The Potala & Norbulinka Palace, Drepung & Sera
Monastery, Jorkhang Temple & Barkhor Bazar. Overnight at
hotel.
DAY 04: DRIVE LHASA TO GYANTSE (259 KMS)
Drive to Gyantse crossing the Kamba La (4794m) & Koro La
Pass (5010m). via the Lake Yamdrok Tso. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05: DRIVE GYANTSE TO SHIGATSE (90 KMS) 3900M
Morning: Visit the Khumbhum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery at
Gyantse. Embark on a pleasant 2 hrs, drive to Shigatse.
Afternoon: Sightseeing tours of the Tashilumpo Monastery and
the free Tibetan market. Overnight at Hotel..
DAY 06: DRIVE SHIGATSE TO XEGAR (244 KMS) 3900M
Drive over to approx. 8 hrs to Xegar. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 07: DRIVE XEGAR TO DZA RAMBUK (60 KMS) 4920M
Drive over rocky terrain on 4WD by Land Cruiser to the
village of Dza Rangphu. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08: EVEREST BASE CAMP EXCURSION (5090M)
A 2 hrs trek from the Rongbuk Monastery will lead you to the
base camp of the highest peak on earth. The north face of
Mount Everest (8848m) or Mt. Quomolangma in Tibetan. Explore
the Base Camp and the Rangphu Glacier. Retreat to lodge.
Later in the afternoon, return to Tingri (approx. 96 kms/3hrs).
Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 09: DRIVE TINGRI TO NYALAM 214 KMS (3750M)
Drive downhill to Nyalam crossing two spectacular passes-
The Lalung La (5082m) & Nyalam (3800m). Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 10: DRIVE NYALAM TO KATHMANDU 123 KMS (1200M)
Drive downhill to Zhangmu and to the Friendship Bridge where
transportation awaits for the groups for final journey to
Kathmandu. |
