The high
remote Tibet like regions of Ladakh & Zanskar are arid as they
lie north of the main Himalaya range and are thus protected from
the monsoon.
From Kathamndu you will fly Delhi then to Leh, capital of Ladakh
and spend time becoming a acclimatized and taking in the sights
of this amazing region with its ancient monasteries and palaces.
You then travel by road into Zanskar, one of the wildest and
most remote part of the Himalayas. This is where that rarest of
creatures, the snow leopard, is still sometimes have seen,
you'll spend some days exploring Padum, capital of Zanskar,
before heading up to the famed Khardung la pass at 5578m the
highest motor able road in the world. you then head back to Leh
for the return flight to Delhi. Domestic mountain scenery in
this west-east section of the massive Tibetan plateau, ancient
Buddhist cultures and some mild yet rewarding walking are the
highlight of this trip. |

A rest
day in the fascinating medireview
village of Barabhangal.

Day 14 |
A
steady climb to our camp at the base
of Thamser Pass. |

Day 15 |
Over
Thamser Pass (4570 metres) to
Pannatu. |

Day 16 |
Along
the river and through the woods to
the tiny settlement of Palachak.

Day 17 |
We are
now in more inhabited country and we
pass several small villages on the
way to our camp at the village of
Biling. |

Day 18 |
We
continue down to the Tibetan refugee
camp at Bir, then travel by jeep to
McLeod Ganj, home of Tibet's
government-in-exile. |

 |

Day 19 |
We
spend two additional days in McLeod
Ganj to visit the Tibetan library,
local Buddhist monasteries, and the
town's colorful marketplace.

travel by jeep to Amritsar, site of

Accommodation on twin sharing basis
as per Tour category (standard/Deluxe), full board meals, Ground
transfers. Sightseeing as per Itinerary with English speaking
guide, Entrance fees and permits.
On Treks Camping Equipment consisting of Two men-tent &
mattress, Freshly cooked meals, Dinning & Toilet tents, Ponies
and trek staffs. A minimum of 2 person is required for obtaining
permit to trek. |

GETTING THERE:
Fly from Kathmandu to Delhi and Overnight at 1 Night at Delhi
hotel and next morning flight to Leh. The other option would be to arrive by train
from New Delhi to Pathankot and drive to Leh. |

During Night heavy woolen sweeter or down jackets. In day light

ENTRY FORMALITIES:
All foreigners intending to visit Leh has to avail of an
Indian visa which can be obtained at any Indian Embassy or
Mission abroad. and trekking permit is necessary which is also a must can
be obtained Delhi or Leh. |
