The enchanting little state of
Sikkim lies in the eastern end of the mighty Himalayas flanked
by Bhtan, Nepal and Tibet on it's east, west and northern
borders respectively.
Sikkim lies nestled under the protective shadow of its guardian
deity, Mount Knachenjunga (8598m). the third highest mountain in
the world. Conveniently accessible by rail air and road, this
little Himalayan jewel is fast becoming a favorite gateway for
tourists in recent years.
The area of Sikkim is 7,096 sq. kms and measures approximately
about 110 kms from north to south and about 64 kms for the east
to the west. The elevation ranges from 224 mts to over 8590m
about sea-level which gives Sikkim it's incomparably range of
flora and fauna the majestic mountain peaks, the dense foothill
forests, the frothing rivers and the lush paddy fields make this
22nd state of India a hotbed of bio-diversity not found anywhere
else. |

Picturesque
drives to Yuksom (1,780m.) through the
beautiful villages and hills- meet our
trekking crew and overnight in Camp.

Day 04 |
Start treks to
Tsoka (3,080m.) through the wilderness and
overnight in camp. |

Day 05 |
Tsoka - Dzongri
(4,030m.) and overnight in Camp.

Hiking to
Dzongri - la Pass & Rest day ( visit the
views point at a height of 4,100m. for the
majestic view of the whole Kanchanjunga
Massif.) |

Day 07 |
Early morning
enjoy a memorable sunrise against the
backdrop of Kanchanjunga from a small hill
and descend to Thansing (3,930m.) and
overnight in Camp. |

Day 08 |
A short
trek to Samiti (4,200m.) then overnight in
Camp. |
|
Day 09 |
Morning hikes
up to Geochala Pass (4,940m.) for awesomely
spectacular view of Kanchanjunga Peak and
descend back to Thansing and Camp.

Day 10 |
Thansing -
Lampokhari (4,230m.) then overnight in Camp.
|
|
Day 11 |
Lampokhari
- Kasturi (3,715m.) then overnight in camp.
|
|
Day 12 |
Katuri -
Labdang (1,830m.) then overnight in Camp.
|

Day 13 |
Labdang -
Tashiding (4 hrs.) then pick up by a vehicle
and drive to Pemayangtse Monastery then
transfers to Hotel |

Day 14 |
In the
morning visit Pemayangtse Monastery and
explore local inhabitation. In afternoon
scenic drive to Silguri (4-5 hrs.) a
bustling town in the Indian plain then
transfers to Hotel |

Day 15 |
Transfer to
Bhadrapur / Bagdora Airport Drop

PACKAGE INCLUDES: |

Accommodation on twin sharing basis
as per Tour category (standard/Deluxe), full board meals, Ground
transfers. Sightseeing as per Itinerary with English speaking
guide, Entrance fees and permits.
On Treks Camping Equipment consisting of Two men-tent &
mattress, Freshly cooked meals, Dinning & Toilet tents, Ponies
and trek staffs. A minimum of 2 person is required for obtaining
permit to trek in Sikkim. |

Expenses of personal nature, Travel Insurance and re-entry visa. |

GETTING THERE:
Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar /Bhadrapur (Nepal) and transfer
by road or fly from Delhi /Calcutta to Bagdogra (India) and
transfer by road. The other option would be to arrive by train
from any part of India to New Jalpaiguri. |
BEST
SEASON:
Mid February to late May and Mid September to late December. |
CLOTHING:
During Summer-light jackets & rain gears. In winter-down gears
at high altitude. |

ENTRY FORMALITIES:
All foreigners intending to visit Sikkim has to avail of an
Indian visa which can be obtained at any Indian Embassy or
Mission abroad. The inner state permit which is also a must can
be obtained along with the visa. |
