the evocative northern
province of Rajasthan is home to all the colors of
India. On our classic Rajasthan adventure we enjoy
the icons, such as the Taj Mahal and Place of the
Winds, but we also get off the beaten track and
discover hidden forts, ghost towns, colorful bazaars
and of course, embark on a camel safari. this is the
essence of Rajasthan. |

Day 01/02: |
The best way to explore
the bazzars and spice markets of Old Delhi is with
the locals on foot. |
|
Day 03: |
Agra: Emperor Akbar's
magnificent Red Fort dominates central Agra. Along
the river stands the beautiful white marble Taj
Mahal. an emotive icon of India. |
|
Day 04: |
Fatehpur Sikri via the
deserted ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri, we travel to
Keoladeo, once a hunting estate of the Maharaja of
Bharatpur but now one of the world's finest bird
Sanctuaries. |

Day 05: |
Madhogarh soak up the peaceful
atmosphere of Fort Madhogarh where we stay as guests
of the royal family. Wander the village and enjoy
watching the sun set from high on the fort walls. |

Day 06/07: |
Jaipur, En route to Jaipur,
the magnificent hillside Amber fort is ours to
explore with a local guide. Travel by cycle rickshaw
into the old walled city of Jaipur to see the Place
of the Winds. |

Day 08: |
Ranthambhore National Park, A
dramatic 1oth Century fort dominates scenic
Ranthambhore, one of the original Project Tiger
Reserves and home to numerous species of birds and
wild animals. |
|
Day 09/10: |
Bhundi, ancient sprawling
palace adorned with murals, and the town's ornate
step wells, narrow streets and local markets all
combine to give a captivating medieval feel. |
|
Day 11: |
Bijaipur, join rural villagers
and local people for a train ride before
transferring into jeeps and visiting a local toy
maker on our way to Castle Bijaipur. |
|
Day 12/14: |
Pushkar, set beside a sacred
lake, Pushkar is an ideal place to browse markets,
visit temples and mingle with pilgrims. Enjoy a
desert camel ride to watch the sun setting and
return to the relaxed cafes in town for dinner. |
|
Day 15: |
Arriving back into Delhi's
early morning mayhem is an experience in itself and
a great end to a classic adventure. |
