The high
remote Tibet like regions of Ladakh & Zanskar are arid as they
lie north of the main Himalaya range and are thus protected from
the monsoon.
From Kathamndu you will fly Delhi then to Leh, capital of Ladakh
and spend time becoming a acclimatized and taking in the sights
of this amazing region with its ancient monasteries and palaces.
You then travel by road into Zanskar, one of the wildest and
most remote part of the Himalayas. This is where that rarest of
creatures, the snow leopard, is still sometimes have seen,
you'll spend some days exploring Padum, capital of Zanskar,
before heading up to the famed Khardung la pass at 5578m the
highest motor able road in the world. you then head back to Leh
for the return flight to Delhi. Domestic mountain scenery in
this west-east section of the massive Tibetan plateau, ancient
Buddhist cultures and some mild yet rewarding walking are the
highlight of this trip. |

from Hemis to the village of Chogdo.

Kongmaru La base camp.

over Kongmaru La (5150 metres) to
the plain of Nimaling, a vast high

through the tiny settlements of
Hankar and Umlung to the valley's
largest village, Markha.

Day 11
|
Trek to
the lovely oasis at Tunespa. |

Day 12 |
Trek to
the village of Skiu, with its
medireview gompa. |
|
|

Day 13
|
Trek to
Zanskar river. Take the pulley
bridge across before boarding the
rafts on the Zanskar river. Ride the
river to its confluence with the
Indus at Nimu, then board jeeps for
the trip to Alchi. Overnight at
Alchi village. |

|
Day 14 |
In
Alchi, we tour the remarkably well
preserved 11th -century gompa and
the famed frescoes within. In the
afternoon, we return by jeep to Leh.

|
Day 15 |
Morning
flight to Delhi. Check into hotel
there. Stay overnight at Hotel.
|
|
|
|
|
Day 16
|
Transfer to Airport for flight to
onwards journey. |

Accommodation on twin sharing basis
as per Tour category (standard/Deluxe), full board meals, Ground
transfers. Sightseeing as per Itinerary with English speaking
guide, Entrance fees and permits.
On Treks Camping Equipment consisting of Two men-tent &
mattress, Freshly cooked meals, Dinning & Toilet tents, Ponies
and trek staffs. A minimum of 2 person is required for obtaining
permit to trek. |

GETTING THERE:
Fly from Kathmandu to Delhi and Overnight at 1 Night at Delhi
hotel and next morning flight to Leh. The other option would be to arrive by train
from New Delhi to Pathankot and drive to Leh. |

ENTRY FORMALITIES:
All foreigners intending to visit Leh has to avail of an
Indian visa which can be obtained at any Indian Embassy or
Mission abroad. and trekking permit is necessary which is also a must can
be obtained Delhi or Leh. |
